A Starter Prompt Library for Jamaican SMEs

Why Most AI Prompts Fail Caribbean Businesses

You have probably tried ChatGPT or Claude for your business. You asked it to write some marketing copy and got back something that sounded like it was written for a Manhattan startup. Generic. Tone-deaf. Completely wrong for your market.

The problem is not the AI. The problem is the prompt.

AI models are trained primarily on American and European content. Without specific guidance, they default to patterns that do not resonate with Caribbean buyers. The solution is calibrated prompts that account for local context, communication styles, and buyer psychology.

Here are twelve prompts we use internally and with our clients. Copy them, customize them, and start seeing better results immediately.

How to Get Better Results

These prompts are starting points. The more specific context you provide, the better your outputs will be. Always include:

  • Your specific business type and location
  • Your target customer in detail
  • What makes your business different
  • The tone and style that matches your brand

And always edit the outputs. AI gives you a first draft, not a final product. Your job is to refine it until it sounds like you.
